FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How often should I tune my piano?
A: It is recommended to tune a piano every 6 months. Pianos that experience heavy use/exposure to fluctuating humidity can be expected to go out of tune faster.
Q: How long does a tuning take?
A: This varies by how out of tune the piano is; 90 minutes is a safe bet, but it can take longer for neglected pianos. There is no additional charge for this.
Q: Do you offer services beyond tuning?
A: Absolutely! Regulation, repairs, voicing, and upgrades such as dampp-chaser installation are all available services. If you are unsure of what services you need, please call or text me at (214) 601-8414.
Q: My piano sounds bad but I’m not sure what is wrong… can you help me?
A: Of course! I offer on-site consultations for a flat deposit of $100 – and this deposit goes towards any repairs or tuning you may need. I can often get your consultation and repairs done in the same session.
Q: Do you offer a warranty for pianos that go out of tune?
A: Unfortunately, no. Pianos lose their tune for a number of reasons, almost all of which are not in the control of a technician. Lack of climate control, heavy usage, and moving will inevitably put a piano out of tune sooner than later.
Q: Do you move pianos?
A: I’m afraid not
Q: Are you available to tune on weekends?
A: Yes!
